Financial Literacy
Evaluation Resource Kit
Overview
The field of financial literacy for low-income populations is growing rapidly, and there is an increasing demand for reliable evaluation. The CCFL, with the support of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), has assembled a Financial Literacy Evaluation Resource Kit that provides evaluation resources and tested tools with information about their administration and use. The purpose of the toolkit is to:
- enhance your organization’s ability to monitor and improve financial literacy initiatives
- build a pan-Canadian foundation for sharing learning and outcomes
Intended for managers and practitioners who deliver financial literacy, these tools can be adapted for different program contexts and they can gather:
- Demographic data
- Participant satisfaction levels
- Comparable pre and post data on habits, knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to financial literacy
You can aggregate your demographic and pre-post assessment data into statistical numbers or percentages with the excel file provided and create a presentation dashboard of charts and graphics for reporting findings.
