Overview
The CCFL hosts a wealth of information from the many years SEDI researched and developed programs related to self-employment, savings and asset building and financial literacy. Financial literacy was originally embedded in the self-employment programs developed by SEDI. In order to run a successful enterprise an individual needed some basic financial skills, not only at a business level, but at a personal level as well. Eventually financial literacy evolved as a stand-alone issue, as it became more apparent that it was a cornerstone to personal success for all Canadians, but especially for those in poverty.
